A 25 metre, 5 lane swimming pool with full changing facilities, built to the current standards of British Swimming and regularly used for hosting national swimming competitions.

The equal of any other swimming pools of this specification in the country.

The high water table and unstable sub-soil conditions required extensive ground work with the construction of a sheet piled tank and a lattice of 23metre deep reinforced concrete piles.

Despite the difficulties of sourcing skilled labour and materials during the construction boom of this period, Lee ensured that once again the standard of both the internal and external finishes were of the highest standard.

The contribution of Lee to the construction of this outstanding building and the fulfilment of the architect’s design cannot be underestimated and of course the building was completed on time and on budget.
