Adson were very proud to install this new, state-of-the-art accessible Changing Places toilet facility on Level 1 of the Meridian Shopping Centre. The facility benefits people with disabilities and their carer’s and was made possible following a successful bid by Havant Borough Council securing £150,000 in government funding from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government for two new Changing Places conveniences.

Adson understand the importance of all facilities they deliver no matter their size, this Changing Places WC was delivered with great care and attention, to programme and budget. We were pleased to be working on such important local community projects that will make life a lot easier for those in need of the facilities visiting the area.

Officially opened on Wednesday 21st August 2024 by the Mayor of Havant, service users from local day service ‘Chaos Support’ and the Adson team joined this important occasion to mark the completion of this vital project.

Changing Places are larger accessible toilets for severely disabled people and include equipment such as hoists, curtains, adult-sized changing benches and space for carers.

They support those with profound and multiple learning disabilities, and people with other physical disabilities who need additional equipment and space to allow them to use the toilet safely and comfortably.
